My father, Larry Monahan Sr., was considered a pioneer in the development of
frying water blanched peanuts. Our family owned and operated a restaurant in
Virginia, where in 1949 we began roasting and selling peanuts to passing
tourists. Our Peanut business soon outgrew the restaurant. Being close to
retirement my father decided to sell both in 1976.

After studying Agri-business in college and with the help and encouragement from
my father, in 1985 we built a peanut processing facility in Cary, North
Carolina. Then in 1997 we built a new production and distribution facility in
Henderson, NC, leaving the operation in Cary as a retail store only. Using the
same recipes that my father developed in 1949, the business grew quickly. By
roasting and packaging peanuts daily our reputation for quality and freshness
surpassed others in our industry. Our peanuts have been enjoyed by customers in
every state in the US and most foreign countries. We're sure you will find our
